Based in Bay Shore, New York, Tiderunner Engineering and Design, P.C., brings more than 20 years of quality civil engineering services, as well as residential, commercial, and municipal services. Our licensed engineers provide crucial services for builders and developers—from environmental evaluations and inspections to site preparation and building plans.

Our owner, Lou Schwartz, views engineering and construction as a family calling. Growing up with an engineer father and siblings in construction, Lou has engineering in his blood. He has worked in the engineering industry since leaving the Navy in 1989 and launched Tiderunner Engineering and Design in 2003 to provide his knowledgeable, honest, and straight-forward expertise to our clients.

At Tiderunner Engineering and Design, we deliver a comprehensive skill set in all aspects of site development building projects, from permits to traffic studies. We also share our expertise in forensic investigations of engineering issues with evaluations for expert testimony and recommendations.
